Phil Mickelson’s earnings from LIV Golf were exposed (and it’ll shock you)

Phil Mickelson has officially joined the LIV Golf series, for which he was paid handsomely.

Mickelson will compete in the LIV Golf Invitational Series tournament at Centurion Club outside of London this week, according to LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman.

So what was the cost of convincing Lefty to join?

According to Brentley Romine of the Golf Channel, Mickelson received a payment of roughly $200 million to join the Saudi Arabia-funded golf league.

LIV Golf has been tossing large sums of money around in an attempt to persuade well-known figures to join. Some people have accepted the funds, while others have turned them down.

The first LIV Golf event will be headlined by Phil Mickelson. Other notable players who will compete in the inaugural event of the series include Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, Kevin Na, Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen, Martin Kaymer, Charl Schwartzel, Graeme McDowell, and Talor Gooch.
