For a number of months, Jon Rahm has been the best golfer on the planet, according to the world rankings. However, at this week’s The American Express Championship, the world number one was experiencing some difficulties.
Rahm was walking off one of the greens on the Nicklaus Tournament Course for his second round when he was captured on video mumbling “piece of s**t, f***ing setup, putting contest week, Jesus Christ.” Rahm was playing his second round on the Nicklaus Tournament Course.
You can see the video, which was captured by a bystander, in the section below.

Even after shooting a two-under-par second round, the Spaniard would start the final round six shots behind the leaders, and even after shooting a five-under-par 67 on Saturday, he is still five shots behind overnight leaders Lee Hodges and Paul Barjon heading into the final round of the tournament on Sunday. When Rahm finally got a putt to drop at the 18th hole, he had a sarcastic reaction to show for it.
Rahm’s frustrations on Saturday were exacerbated by the fact that the Spaniard had a number of putts lip out or finish on the edge of the hole on Saturday.
