What’s Phil Mickelson Got Against Paige Spiranac?

In the world of social media, there are different ways of sending someone a message. One of the most popular ways to avoid someone you don’t wish to interact is by blocking them. You don’t have to say a word. When they notice they’re blocked your feelings will be pretty clear. So now we ask, what did Paige Spiranac do to upset Phil Mickelson so much that he would take zero chance they would connect online? After all, Paige is one of the most popular social media personalities in golf.

Paige Spiranac reveals she is blocked by Mickelson

Paige Spiranac is a former professional golfer, extremely successful during her college days. She boasts of over 3M followers on Instagram, the most among any golfer. Earlier this year, Mickelson dove into the debate of whether the tournament is called the Open or the British Open.

When Lefty later clarified the same in a tweet, a fan tagged Paige to bring his verdict to her notice. However, unable to view his tweet, it was then that Paige realized, the hall of fame golfer had barred her from his profile.

Here are the tweets by Spiranac which reveal her confusion-

Notably, many golfers on the tour have their reservations about the pro-turned social media personality. She revealed“A lot of the girls on tour said they don’t want me talking about them or their tournaments because I’m a bad representation of women’s golf,” referring to the nature of her posts.

Spiranac trolls Phil Mickelson in an Instagram post

While the reason for this is unclear, we have a speculation as to why Lefty might’ve taken the action. Back in 2018, when she was still a rising Instagram star, Spiranac posted a short video, trolling Mickelson. Even though it was a joke and she had no cruel intentions, many believe this could be the reason why Mickelson still holds a grudge against her. Watch it here for yourself-

Nevertheless, this could be an honest mistake or something completely different. What is your take on it?
