Lotto.com World Series of Golf partnership

The World Series of Golf Satellite Series has added Lotto.com as its official lottery courier partner, putting a new sponsor behind the winning moments that define the competition. A winning scratch-off and a flushed golf shot do not have much in common on paper; in the moment, though, both can produce the same rush. The partnership will be most visible at seven Topgolf venues in Arizona and Colorado this fall.

The deal makes Lotto.com the presenting partner of the $10,000 champion’s check awarded at the Satellite Series National Final on October 2 at Topgolf Scottsdale. This check buys them into the World Series of Golf Championship, where a $250,000 top prize awaits.

What the Lotto.com partnership brings to the World Series of Golf Satellite Series

The partnership is built around a simple piece of golf psychology: players remember the moments when a swing, a putt or a decision delivers a result. Robert Davidman, CEO of World Series of Golf, sees that same emotion in lottery play.

“Lotto is all about the excitement of those winning moments,” Davidman told Clickit Golf. “When you scratch off the lottery ticket and you win something there is an exciting feeling that comes over you. When you play golf and you have a great shot there is a similar feeling of excitement.”

That connection will translate into an on-site presence rather than a logo tucked away in a partner deck. Lotto.com will appear on tournament bay screens and leaderboards. At the Arizona and Colorado locations—Topgolf Scottsdale, Gilbert, Glendale and Tucson in Arizona, plus Centennial, Thornton and Colorado Springs in Colorado—representatives will be on hand to demonstrate how the service works.

For new Lotto.com customers in eligible markets, the partnership also includes a promotional offer: use code WSGOLF at checkout for a free Powerball ticket through the end of 2026. Availability varies by state, New York and Maine are excluded, and service fees apply.

Davidman said success will be measured in part by whether golfers and guests leave Topgolf more aware of a service designed for the way they already spend time at the venue. A typical Topgolf outing lasts long enough to include food, conversation and more swings than most driving-range visits. Lotto.com’s pitch is convenience: eligible customers can order supported lottery products from their phones rather than make a separate stop.

Lotto.com currently operates in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon and Puerto Rico. Davidman said the relationship can grow as the Satellite Series expands into more markets served by Lotto.com.

How the World Series of Golf Satellite Series works

The World Series of Golf Satellite Series is not a longest-drive contest, and it is not a traditional stroke-play event. The format borrows the decision-making tension of Texas Hold’em and applies it to golf shots. Players compete in Topgolf virtual-golf modes while the WSG app manages the game mechanics, including poker-style rounds and a live leaderboard.

Davidman’s comparison is direct: “The World Series of Golf is not about being the best golfer but rather being the best at out-strategizing your opponents. You don’t have to play every hole; rather, you need to win the holes you play.” In other words, players are not asked to force action on every hole. They are asked to recognize the spots where their shots and their strategy give them the best chance to advance.

Qualifying is scheduled for September 1 and 2. On the first night, up to 128 players at each participating venue play nine holes; every bay produces a winner. The resulting bay winners return on night two, when the field narrows until one venue champion is crowned. Those venue winners advance to the October 2 National Final at Topgolf Scottsdale.

The larger Satellite Series spans 30 Topgolf locations in 11 states, according to the event’s official page. Lotto.com’s sponsorship activation, however, is focused on the seven Arizona and Colorado locations named above. That is an important distinction for players reading the announcement: the WSG competition is national, while the Lotto.com venue programming is regional in this first phase.

Does the World Series of Golf Satellite Series involve real-money wagering?

No. Players do not wager cash in the World Series of Golf Satellite Series. The app uses chips and bankrolls with no monetary value to run a poker-inspired strategy format, much like using chips in a friendly home game. That distinction makes the event a skill-and-strategy competition conducted at Topgolf, not a cash-wagering contest.

The format’s accessibility is central to Davidman’s vision. The World Series of Golf Championship has historically been an invite-only event, but the Satellite Series creates a way for amateurs to win their way onto that stage. The Topgolf setting suits that mission: it welcomes first-time golfers without draining the competitive edge from players who have been around the game for years.

“A tournament where an amateur can walk in and play their way onto a national stage in 30 days” is how Tom Metzger, CEO of Lotto.com, described the opportunity in announcing the partnership. “That’s the kind of access we believe in.”

For the player who wins a bay, the emotional stakes tighten quickly. Davidman said the excitement becomes “palpable” once the next stage is within reach. The eventual Satellite Series champion will have a familiar face waiting in Scottsdale, too: former WSG champion Mark Ewing is expected to attend the final and congratulate the winner.

How to enter—and what to do before the first tee

Davidman’s advice to prospective entrants is notably unvarnished: get to Topgolf and play. A practice round or two before qualifying begins is the most direct way to get comfortable with the venue and the rhythm of hitting shots under a little pressure.

Players can claim a Satellite Series spot through WSG and review the format, schedule and participating locations at the official World Series of Golf Topgolf Satellite Series page. Participants should set up their WSG app account before arriving, because the app manages the scoring, game play and live leaderboard.

The player who ultimately wins in Scottsdale will leave with more than a ceremonial oversized check. The $10,000 seat puts that winner into the WSG Championship field and one decision, one well-timed shot and one strategically played hole closer to the $250,000 top prize.

The point of the partnership

This is not merely a scoreboard sponsorship. Lotto.com is attaching itself to the exact part of the World Series of Golf Satellite Series that sticks with participants: the moment the competition goes from a fun night at Topgolf to a genuine chance at the game’s biggest stage.

For Davidman, that is the fit. Lotto.com delivers the anticipation of a potential win. WSG builds a golf format around the same sensation. The September qualifiers will show how well those two ideas travel together—from a bay screen in Colorado Springs or Scottsdale to the final presentation of the $10,000 champion’s check in October.
