At Tiger Woods’ Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour, this boom stick operator fell while trying to keep up with Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy was on his way to the next tee box when the unfortunate soul appeared out of nowhere and walked right to the deck.
He swiftly shook off what appeared to be a serious fall. As he stood up and continued, he appeared a little embarrassed.
Who’s to blame? One of the spectators in attendance, who was holding a can of beer, pointed out a metal object embedded in the floor.

The Genesis Invitational was not won by McIlroy. With a wire-to-wire victory, Joaquin Niemann won his second PGA Tour event.
The Northern Irishman, 32, finished T10 at Riviera after signing for rounds of 69, 70, 67 and 68.
McIlroy seemed to be quite pleased with how he did.
“I actually had a really good week by the way,” he told the media afterwards.
“Quietly solid. I shot four rounds under par. I had a nice — I had a nice 67-68 weekend.
“My game’s close, it’s close. I certainly didn’t do enough to shot 21-under par this week and keep up with Joaco, but I’m happy with my week.”
He added: “I always sort of thought Riv is a place where you shoot four 68s and you’re going to be in with a good chance.
“Yeah, this year with just them not being able to water the rough and the rough not being up, it just made the course a little bit more benign and you could sort of miss it a little bit more off the tees and get away with it.
“I’ve never seen the greens this good at Riv and it looks like guys are just — I’ve never held as many putts here as I have this week, so guys seem to be holing a lot more putts just because they’re not soft, there’s not heel prints, there’s none of that and they’re rolling true.”
